Nytia Jenkins is an emerging self-taught artist who works with a variety of mediums, primarily illustration and painting. She employs a broad scale of colors in her work depending on the work’s theme. Among her accomplishments, she has been featured in art galleries in the US and UK, received artist awards, and published in ArtistTalk Magazine.

Looking into the Moonlit Night

I wanted to create a scene that captured the beauty and serenity of the night. Using contrasting light and dark colors, I decided on a moonlit scene of a young woman gazing at the mountains in the distance. The choice of colors are meant to enhance the nature of the painting.

Stepping Outside the Comfort Zone

My final painting for the year 2022, I dedicated to all the milestone achievements that happened: my work was featured in three art galleries, I entered art competitions, and received my first art award. All of which would not have occurred if I didn’t step outside of my comfort zone.
